Getting Advice
Make an appointment with us so that your car can undergo a detailed structural inspection, the results are then analysed and listed in order of priority. We can either give you a free verbal estimate or if required, a more detailed written estimate will be produced and sent to you, normally in a couple of days.
If you are unable to visit us, we have provided a detailed questionnaire with instructions on how to fill it in; (see below). Once returned to us, we can discuss its contents over the telephone.
We can also offer a highly detailed mechanical report covering all aspects of the car at £72.50 +VAT. This involves workshop time so advance booking is essential.
We will road test your vehicle and give a sound overview of its condition. If for example, you visit us for advice on your vehicle, we also inspect the chassis and if, we found it in poor condition, then you would be advised of other potential unforeseen costs. These costs can probably be put into two categories:
- Desirable repairs
- Essential repairs
Depending on other factors:
-
The existing condition of your vehicle
-
Your general expectations
-
Your budget
-
Your pattern of use. For example, if you only carry out 1000 miles per year and your engine was poor but usable, then engine repairs would be desirable, whereas if your mileage were 20,000 per year, then it would be an essential repair.
We could then put together a package that would suit you and your budget.
To enable us to evaluate your Minor should you not be able to visit us you may print and fill out our questionnaire. Post it to us and we will, normally, reply within a week or ten days.
