These Chassis are made by the Durable Car Company in Sri Lanka exclusively for Charles Ware’s MMC.

They are hand built on a jig and have been primed before shipment. They have been recognised by our customers as being well proportioned and finished, representing good value for the price. 

We try to keep one or two in stock, but if you would like to order one it can take up to 8 weeks before it arrives in the UK. So please order in plenty of time.

1968 Old English White Morris Minor Van with Black Interior Trim

Rarely available, beautifully restored Morris Minor Van.  This vehicle was processed through our workshops 4 years ago.  It has had very limited use since then and has been garaged.

Repainted inside and outside including the engine bay.

Full mechanical overhaul and service.  Reconditioned 1098 engine and gearbox.  Upgrades including:- Servo/disc brakes, alternator, halogen headlamps, electric washers, heated front screen, battery cut-out switch, reversing lamp, reversing sensors, hazard lights, tow bar.  Supplied with a new MOT 

New interior trim fitted with front inertia reel seatbelts and CD player.

The chassis and underside are in excellent condition.  It will be undersealed and wax injected and carry a 2 year warranty.

1967 Genuine Pick up, LCV, Green with Canvas Tilt

This is a very straight Pick up.  Mechanically sound and solid underneath there is room for professional or amateur restoration.  But as a working vehicle it can be driven away and go directly into service.

The Chassis has been wax injected and oil sprayed and is fair for it’s age.  The bodywork is also fair for it’s year and has had minor cosmetic touch up.

The engine and gearbox are 1098cc and it has been converted for unleaded petrol and it will undergo a full mechanical service.

The trim is original and is fine for a 48 year old vehicle. Again this is something that can be improved in the new owners own time and will not diminish from the experience of using this light commercial vehicle.

Currently priced at £5,500 there are a range of electrical, brake and suspension upgrades that the vehicle would benefit from for a driver wanting some of the convenience of a modern vehicle. 

The increasing rarity of good commercial vehicles with original features makes this a very good purchase.

1971 Persian Blue Pick-Up

This is a vehicle we sold a few years ago where it was then exported to America.  We originally purchased it from another well-known Morris Minor Centre where it was rebuilt including a new chassis, a full body and paint rebuild including the engine bay and new interior trim.

We will provide our usual chassis guarantee and a new MoT.

The vehicle will be fully serviced, mechanically overhauled and converted back to RHD.

The pick-up is already fitted with a number of upgrades including a brake servo, alternator, CD player, pick-up/van style wing mirrors and inertia seat belts.  It also has a fitted rear tilt with hoops.

These are very hard to find especially vehicles in this condition.  Please call for details.  

1970 White Van with Black Interior Trim

This is an excellent looking van that had a detailed, body-off restoration a few years ago. It received an internal, external and engine bay repaint, a new carpet set, new headlining and the seats  were rebuilt. The rear load area has had a very neat looking carpet fitted to it. The van is fitted with a number of upgrades including a brake servo, alternator, electronic washer kit, radial tyres fitted onto larger style van wheels, wing mirrors, a stainless steel exhaust, halogen headlamps and a 12v multi-plug socket. It has a chrome roof aerial and a set of Kenwood speakers fitted neatly into the front kick panels. A radio/CD player could be fitted if required.

Our usual rust-protected chassis guarantee will be provided along with the vehicle being fuly serviced and a new MoT provided.

An excellent looking van built with this detail is very hard to come by.

1971 CONNAUGHT GREEN PICK UP

This pick-up has a very good chassis that has been replaced at some point. The body does have some small areas of corrosion, but overall it is a very good workman like truck.

It has a number of upgrades fitted to it, including:

1971 Mid-Bronze Green Van with Black Interior Trim

This was a van that we resprayed in Mid-Bronze Green for a customer who wanted to show it as a GPO-Style Replica.

We provided a guaranteed chassis, a new MoT and converted it to run on unleaded fuel.

We also fitted a brake servo with reservoir top-up, an alternator, our 5-star package, electronic ignition, halogen headlamps, 12 volt Sat. Nav. socket and inertia seat belts.

1971 Almond Green Van with Black Interior Trim

A nice looking van that has had a lot  of money spent on it in the last few years. It has had a reconditioned engine fitted which has covered only 900 miles. It will have a rust protected guaranteed chassis, new MoT and is converted for unleaded fuel. The vehicle will be fully serviced and mechanically overhauled. This is a standards van that can have any of our upgrades fitted.
