Description
This Piece was inspired by a painting in my house when i was child. It was only after i created this piece 40 years later that i discovered the original was painted by my father which makes it quite poinient. The name is also apt as my father left when i was a child and was somewhat of a mystery character in my life and the white geometric shapes in the art became very difficult to work out which way they should turn to create the most balanced overall image.
The Puzzler is an abstract piece designed on computer and then laser-cut in 3mm MDF and acrylic. The curved shapes are HVLP sprayed for a smooth finish. The 160mm squares are laser-cut from colored 3mm acrylic. The frame is iroko wood which has been Waxed with amber tinted OSMO Oil.
