Red Roses Statement Necklace

Gothic style statement necklace, part of the Winter Roses collection.

The V shape of roses is made using five scaled down photographs of a red rose printed onto high quality photographic paper, sealed for longevity and set under smooth domed glass pebbles. The glass is set into oxidised sterling silver, a process which gives a darkened patina to the metal. For these rose pieces I took the silver all the way to black to give a dramatic and gothic effect against the deep red. The roses are centred on a double cable chain secured with a lobster clasp, all oxidised to match.
